repairing cracks
A couple of answers.First, I repaired several cracks this year. Pretty straightforward. What you need to do right now is drill 1/8" holes at the ends of existing cracks to keep them from spreading. Do this immediately, even if you're not going to fix the crack until the end of the season. You next bevel the crack with a dremel tool or similar, apply filler material (only as much as you need because it dries very hard), sand, and spray paint. There's a Krylon that's a close match. If anyone wants Hunter's instructions, including a materials list, post your email address and I'll forward what they sent me.Now Edwin, as for your motor mount cracks, how big is your motor? Do you remove it prior to trailering? As a bit of added insurance, I purchased an additional bracket w/my mount that gives it extra stability by connecting to the seat. It's not a standard product, but you can get it from JY. Not sure if you can do a retrofit with the existing bracket. If you have cracks around your motor mount, you may have to remove the mount to make sure that any cracks UNDER it are repaired as well.
