Accumulator Tank and Water Pipe-Hunter 310-1997

I decided to add an accumulator tank on my 310 to eliminate continuous pump operation. I would like to know if the smaller type tanks(about 1 qt) are adequate or if I should go for the larger 1 or 2 gallon type. I also can't figure out where to get the same type of rigid wall poly piping and fittings. It looks like about half inch OD rigid wall PVC but West Marine only carries the 15mm type. Thanks, Lee.

the small one works fine on my H410. Got all the fittings and piping at my local Ace hardware at a lot lower price than WM.BryceS/V Spellbinder

QUEST is the name of the piping and fittings.But I am in NY and my place wont help,got mine in a local plumbing supply and I think the guy before me is rightmake sure the teeth on the chrome washer are correctly installed.

1 gal Accumulator

Installed a 1 gal stainless steel accumulator from W.M. under the sink in my 1998 H-310. Found the quest 1/2" fittings and plastic water line at Lowe's. The pipe and fittings were very reasonable and easy to install. They also sold a plastic line cutter to guarantee a 90 degree cut that insures a tight. I did have to install a 1/2" to 3/4" tee adapter to connect the accumulator's 3/4" fitting to the 1/2" line. I also added several valves and tees to create a distribution header so I could shut off water should a leak occur in a line downstream of the accumulator. I also installed 4 tees and valves before the pump and ran a 1/2" line from one of the valves to a manual whale pump mounted on the galley sink. This allows me to manually pump out small amounts of water. It also give me the ability to add 2 more water tanks later when I finally figure out where to mount them. I found working with the Quest fittings a joy compared to copper pipe. I also added water filters to the cold water lines running to galley sink for fresher tasting water.
