In the January 2000 issue of Sailing, Bill Schanen editorializes the visionary concepts used in the design of Hunter sailboats, particularly the HC50. His praise is aimed at the contributions of Lars Bergstrom to this design and to the fundamental sail design concepts. Many of us enjoy the B&R rig (with the possible exception of sailing directly down wind). If you get a chance, you should give it a read. You won't mistake it for any of the Hunter threads on the Crusing World Bulletin Board.I had a chance to see the HC50 at Annapolis and it is everything he says. It's nice to know Hunter continues to innovate and those who sail them will continue to benefit.I've certainly enjoyed the three I've owned.
