access to stantion bolts

ive got an '89 22 and i cant reach the outside stantion bolts as they are under the hull or liner. i can see them on one side , but the other is completely obscured by the hull. i need to rebed them . suggestions. thanks

Two ways

Hi There,I haven't had to do this yet but from what I have read there are two different approaches to do this.One is to cut an access hole to reach them. The other , and this is if you are refering to getting access to the stern rail pulpit mounting bolts and nuts.They can be reached if you can lay on your back under the cockpit sole on the inside using 2 3/8" drive extentions up into the recessed area. Now you won't be able to see them but you can reach them. With the help of a small light and a mirror you might be able to see some of themHope this helps,Dave

Love my Dremel! I've had to do a little cutting & it's perfect cuz you can get into tight spaces. I would cut a small access hole as Dave suggsted. That way, if you ever have a problem again, you'll be able to easily access it.LaDonna
