AC Power loss

I have my boat in the water throughout the winter in Annapolis. I occasionally have a loss of AC power to the boat and have difficulty resetting the AC reset under the starboard aft lazarette. I have a MarineAir system that runs when necessary in the humidity mode, and also a single ceramic 750/1500 watt 110 heater to take up the slack. I have tried two ceramics and of course they trip the breaker. Even the single one has to remain at the 750 setting without overloading the 30 amp service. I have also had the breaker on the tower on the dock trip. Having tried everything, it takes several tries to reset the AC power, even after killing the AC Main breaker over the chart table. I presently have friends on the boat who called and told me it just happened to them and they have tried everything to no avail. Is there something unique to this particular electrical system that won't always allow it to be reset? Thank you all in advance for any and all input to this perplexing annoyance...

Over load?

1500 watts at 120 volts, almost pure resistive load will only require 12.5 anps. and only half that at 750 watts. What amperage is required by the Marine Air system? If it cycles on and off, does your power loss happen when it tries to start? When you try to reset the circuit breaker do you turn off the heater and the Marine Air system first? I'll try to help you find your problem. Phil Teter poteter@webzone.net

Power

Do you have an inverter. I also ran an outlet from the Reverse cycle area and used to plug a heater into it, I have a 450 wich gave me two extra outlets. Now I live aboard and had a Webasco heating system installed ==========great unit. I remember having a problem with the inverter but cant remember

Power

On our 336, if we have the hot water tank ON and try running the microwave, we pop the boat circuit every time. I'm not sure how much power everything draws, but we leave the hot water off.
