AC on 34

I would like to ask again for anybody who has an air conditioning unit on a 34 to let me know what size unit they have. I am having a unit put into my boat and the installer is not sure a 16,000 BTU unit is going to be big enough. It seeme to me that I remember people responding to this question several months ago that they had 16,000 BTU units that were just right. Thank you for any info you can give me. John Bowersett

O'Day 35 with AC

JohnWe put AC in our 35 about a year ago. The unit is 16,000 BTU. It is a fine size. We have a reverse cycle which I recommend highly if you will see cold weather. This unit cools the boat interior from about 85 or 90 to 76 in about 20 minutes. Since our boats have the same interior configuration and size my data ought to fit your situation. On of the best aspects is the humidity reduction. Putting the main outlet in the salon, a seconday in the vbirth and another in the head has worked well.
