AC Hose routing, how do I get it out?

1989 Hunter 40, someone installed the AC with the wrong type of hose and a filter housing with no filter basket. The current hose comes from a thru-hole under the sink in the kitchen to the bilge where the water filter is mounted. Appearently there is a void space down there between these two places that the hose passes through, and the hose is stuck pretty good. Is there any way to get anything in or out of that space without taking up the floor?

AC hose routing

My 90 H40 is similar. The intake is under the sink, the 1 " hose runs from the seacock through the U style frame (about 4 " wide by 6" high) into the bilge area and then to the strainer. It's a fairly straight run, and I have changed the hose without difficulty. My hose passes through the channel at a perpendicular, it doesn't travel inside. There's some fresh water supply pipes inside the channel, and if the H2O heater is in the standard place forward of the sink, there's a couple of 5/8 heater hoses as well. These may be binding with your AC hose, or the holes drilled in the channel are barely big enough. Over time, the hose has swelled binding the hose in the holes. Taking the floor up (which I did related to another project) won't help much. The U channel is solid at the top, you cannot get inside of it, except to peer in a couple of places. Good luck!

well, we're headed down there tomorrow, I guess we'll try to push and pull and do whatever we can. we may just have to VERY carefully drill a new hole.
