Beneteau First 310 St. Pete
Hello to all,
New to the site, have a 1993 First 310 and am considering up grading to an A/C unit and adding a refrigeration to the ice box. Has anyone done this or have knowledge that they are willing to share. Thank you in advance for any and all help.
Thanks,
Jim

I have a 1994 Oceanis 300, same hull as yours, but fitted for cruising. We use a Cruiseair Carry-On for AC that fits in the forward hatch, but have no fridge. There is not a lot of room to spare for systems like these aboard a 31' boat, you'll be giving up some storage. The AC will require some real creativity in the install, and will be challenging to get the air distributed well. The challenge with the fridge is the current insulation is poor and will need to be beefed up, and the battery box can only handle 2 group 24 batteries with maybe 160 AH of reserve. You will likely require more, and will have to devise another battery box elsewhere in the boat. These will be expensive projects, even if you do them yourself. Good luck and keep me posted on the results.

Curious how you like the CruiseAir. Could not tell from the website how you plug it in. Inside or to the dockside power?
I am sure it is cheaper than installed A/C, but does it cool well? We have a 321 so about the same size.
How many BTU's of cooling does your Cruiseair have?
