they do?

Please let me know if you have success. I have one burned out. I dont know how to replace though. I removed the screws on the panel and it looks like you can push the light out thru the front of the panel but I dont know how to disconnect the wiring. Is this necesssary? Is there a way to just replace the light/lens? The light that is not working is the orange one on the AC panel side (power switch at the top) Hunter 34 thanks, Gene epola73922@aol.com

Her's the Story - I did several on mine

The wires must be removed. There's a retainer clip that was pressed on the original light during installation. When you try to pry the clip off the original light frequenly breaks. That's ok, can't change the bulb and they're junk anyway. The new one's at Radio Shack have a nut to retain them in the panel. They cost about 2 bucks each. They have lights for both 12v dc and 110v ac. Have fun! Barry s/v "PER DIEM too"

Mine's different...

On my '83 the bulbs are "pea" lamps that simply pull out of the shells. Replacement is dead easy - the hardest part is crimping a spade connector to the thin wire. I'm thinking about replacing them with LEDs - if you do this, make sure you get ones with an integral resistor for 12v operation (or add your own)
