I have several panel lights out on my 81 Hunter Cutter,I would like to know if the bulb can be replaced, or the unit has to be replaced. If the bulb can be replaced, how does it come apart, and where could I buy the parts. Thank you in advance for any info recieved AL

Lights?

I'm constantly amazed at the H37C questions that pop up here. Hunter must have made major changes each year because I don't have any panel lights on my 1979 cutter. And pictures that I see show lots of differences also. Have you pulled the panel out to see what it looks like on the back? Mine has three bus bars, two are 12V and one is 110V. Then each switch connects that bus to a circuit, but no lights.

Panel lights

I don't know how the 37 electric panel is constructed, but on the 34, the panel lights are units that are inserted in the panel thru a hole , then the leads are connected to the bus bar in the back . These light can be bought at any good electronic part store, they are available in different colors and voltage, if you put a 12 volt on the 120 volt side, they will last about one split second. Very easy to do that job yourself, if your'e nervous about electric shock, just make sure your are NOT plug into shore power when you change the lights. Yves OPIUM

Replace them...

I've replaced several on mine, no problem. Mine seem to be of a standard size that you can pick up form West or Boat US. You have to pull the old one out from the back of the panel (with a little persuasion usually), and pop the new one in (it should be a fairly snug fit) - wire the positive wire to the switch-on side of your breaker and the negative to your negative pole.
