Seidelmann owners or others who might know;

I noticed today that after hooking up my batteries and plugging into the AC power at the marinia where the boat is on the hard that the circuit breaker won't turn on for the AC power. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement on line? It is made by Carling Switch Inc. and I assume it was replaced somewhere along the line once but not in some time. Enclosed is a picture of the side of the switch (3 - pole?) that has some of the specs on it.

Thanks You in advance of anyone that might be able to help.

There are a number of manufacturers that make breakers for the same application. You need to make sure the screw holes match up like the old one, get the same color switch (usually white, black or red) and, of course, the same size breaker (in terms of voltage or watts). If you have a good chandlery or boating accessory store nearby you might find they have one in stock and if not, they can order it in for you. You are probably talking about a $20 or so part.

Thanks - that would be the hard part, finding the right store. Blue Seas has similiar but not with one toggle. I'm guessing around $90 if I find one - it's for a boat so it's got to be close to a hundred...

Got switch

I got the switch - $103 at a local chandlery. They just happen to have one in the case. They apparently bought these common replacement items, some from Seidelmann years ago when they went out, since there were quite a few Seidelmanns around back then. Most supplies are gone, and this looks like a newer switch than 25 years old. I'm happy, it's hooked up but I'm thinking about changing out the panel in the next few seasons along with some battery management items.

Try Allied Electronics out of Texas. I found them on line. I got the same circuit breakers my 1985 295 had. They were very helpfull

Bought one

Blitz,
I bought one for my S37 off ebay. It was a 30a Carling, two pole. Think it was around 20 bucks or so. Brand new.
