Does anyone have information or know what size fuse is required for the yellow wire inline fuse holder which slides on to the starter. It's working but there is no info on the glass fuse. Yes, I know thats strange. I checked the Universal Engine Manual. It shows only one fuse and thats for the blower switch (which I dont have). I need to upgrade to a more modern inline fuse. (loose connection making starting sometimes more of a chore).Thanks

I also relocated the fuse holder from being hidden under the alternator to a very accessible spot;
Great suggestion.
once I did that it never blew again!
Of course!
But start out smaller and build up until it doesn't blow.
Hmm. This struck me funny. I know you know what you mean, as will most readers, but how high do you go? The funny part is from the old days. When the house (home) fuses were blowing and you ran out of replacements you could just stick a copper penny in there and all your problems went away; as long as you didn't burn down the house!
Have I just dated myself?

If you did to want to try the roulette process of sticking a fuse in till it fails then upping the fuse, there is a recognition that a fuse protects the wire and should not be greater the wire rating.
Here is a link to discover the fuse for the specific wire gauge.
