A new rc8 problem

My trusty rc8 starts right up and stalls after a few minutes of operation at open throttle or idle speed. She will start back up only after 15 or 20 seconds of continual cranking with a puff of white smoke and will continue running with no problem. Any ideas? I recently changed the fuel filter on the engine but I have not had any problem till now.

Running out of fuel

Sounds to me like you're running out of fuel. Perhaps something has losened up since you changed the filter. I suggest you go over the entire fuel supply system. I am a diesel mechanic and sometimes I will hook up a jug of fuel right to the injection pump, thus eliminating fuel lines, shut off valves, filters
