If it is just the keel you are talking about. . . I would say $300 - $500, depending on how good it is.

Jordan: Are there any other parts available, or a website or e-mail address for the salvage yard? I feel like such a cannibal. But, one time someone wrote a little message similar to yours on this forum, and I got to purchase a second set of cam cleats for my jib sheet winches that matched my original ones perfectly. hello jordan, new keels go for more than $800.00it weighs just about 600lbs.what is the price of scrap iron in your area? ( here it is about seven cents a pound makes it worth $42.00 ) if this is a SCRAP yard (dead cars old refrigerators etc.)it limits his resale options, so he doesn't have a clue as to what he can get or he would have named a price. so offer him $100.00,twice what scrap goes for,and he will most likely say he was looking closer to $300.00 but you will have a place to start dealing from, but then if you need a keel, you can buy 22's for $1000.00.
