I am interested in buying a 2001 Hunter 290. I like that it is smaller and more manageable trying to get it into the dock single handed. (I owned a Hunter 28.5 for years.) But I would like to take an occasional hop to the Islands from the Ft. Pierce inlet in Florida. Of course, I might motor down to Miami first but I wonder if the boat is up to the blue water task. Can anyone help me?
