:)i built an a frame using top rail tubing for a chain link fence.the tubing is one and a quarter inches in diameter.i purchased the materials from lowe`s.i made the pieces 12 feet long.the pieces come in 10 foot lengths and i used a coupling to add an additional 2 feet in length.i flattened the ends and rounded them with a grinder.i attach the ends at the stanchions with clamps made for the fence rail.at the top i use two stainless shackles.i connect the jib halyard to the a frame and then another line from the a frame to hoist up on. does not take that much strength to hoist.i made a mast crutch from a piece of 2 inch square by 9 feet long piece of aluminum that i place in the rudder pintles. the crutch has a roller mounted on top. works great.

I too have a 25 swing. The distance from the point of attach for the A and the forward shrouds is less than 10'. I am wondering why you added 2 feet to a 10 rail?

i made my a frame longer because it seems to work better and can be used on different boats.the last time that i used it was on a o day 23 and made the job safe and easy.two people pulled on the jib halyard to raise and lower the mast and did not even need any extra pulleys or tackle.by using the crutch you already have the mast started up.
