We just got back from our first real cruise. Other than fours hours of nasty, NASTY 8-12 foot chop against an ebb tide in a clear air Gale, which scared the Admiral speechless, it was great. We anchored out for the first time without issue on the first night out in Bowman Bay and enjoyed a nice sunset.

Cngratulations........

Congratulations Charlie! Me and six other boats leave this Friday morning from Pascagoula MS heading towards Pensacola and maybe even Destin depending on weather and "give a darn". Glad to hear your journey went well. I almost have my boat ready and am about as giddy as an 8 year old on Christmas Eve. Frank

Depends on what u call cold. Mid 50`s today on my back porch. If the wind is out of the east it will be high 40`s on the bay. Mid 50`s and overcast is the forecast for the weekend. Im going sailing regardless. That means winter underwear and a wool hat. Its all in what you get used to. Still I consider myself lucky Its a lot warmer than the coast of Maine. Ask any of the sailors on the board that sail the coast of Maine. Have a nice weekend everyone

I'm in the market as were . Colonial Beach
I am in the middle of a 18 day cruise

I am sitting here in Hampton and I plan to leave for Kiptopeake tomorrow. I hope that the fish are biting. After that I plan to work my way back up the bay. I may even have time for a brief stop in Solomins before heading home. It has been an interesting cruise and I am looking forward to leaving out of Hampton tomorrow.

Really getting pumped...

Our extended cruise begins June 19 (on the water) and ends sometime after August 20. Our destination this year is Ocean Falls, BC CA. So far six boats will be in our flotilla. Terry

Nice. I can't get one of the local boats

to go cruising with us. I did get an invite to join up in a little meet and raftup but we'd already made plans and weren't gonna be close. Maybe later this Summer.

Hi Charlie, one of our cruisers lives in Anacortes...

He keeps his boat at the small marina in Guemes Channel. He has a 34 foot Pacific Seacraft (Creelock). If you are interested come join our Skipper's Night every Wednesday night at Lombardis in the Everett Marina. We usually start at around 4:00 p.m., very informal with no agenda other than to talk about cruising. Most all members of our flotilla attend these meetings, but again we're there mainly for the happy hour experience. Come join us this Wednesday for a beer or two. Great bunch of guys and gals. Always a hoot. Terry
