Lisa: I think that you may be anticipating the worst. Did you check to make sure that the valve, to what is commonly referred in this fourm as the "volcano", was closed. If you heel to starboard, this will go below the waterline, and water can come up the drain. You did say that you had wind. Another place that you could have gotten water is from the clean water tank of the porta pottie. I have had my clean water tank leak. This can be sealed with silicone sealer, but you should take the toilet out of the boat and remove all of the water from it so that the sealer can cure without any pressure on it. Do you have carpeting on the floor of the "hallway"? If not, do you see any cracks around where the keel would be attached? The "hallway" is actually a liner, so I don't know exactly how water could get in from the keel hanger bolts. It could also be from rain, or if you really had the boat heeling, from water coming in where the shrouds come through the deck. Another, place that we had water leak from was the water tank to the sink. There is a little vent hole that allows air back into the tank when the water is pumped out. I made a screw with a little knob on it and drilled holes so that the vent can be closed while sailing. This would probably have put more water onto the cushions and galley than on the floor. As I said earlier, I think that your are anticipating the worst. I hope you get some other comments to help you solve your leak problem. I can only imagine the problems that sailors with big boats must have, if on a boat as simple as a C-22, there are this many places to check for a leak. Aldo
