A community thank-you!

I'd like to thank the Vega community for all of the help I've received
during the process of diagnosing and rectifying my "water intrusion
into the lube-oil" crisis on Nossa V1039.

Things are generally good now - the engine runs smoothly, (though now
ilding too fast - sigh!)the main culpret - the water pump gasket seems
to be snugly in its seat, and soon to be replaced, and an air leak in
the fuel line has been resolved.

I've been encouraged to be brave - even tapping new head bolt threads -
and all seems well so far - so a heart-felt THANK YOU.. . . as for the fast idle - I've adjusted the fast and slow idle
adjustment screws on the throttle connection to the carburator, (that
rocker thingy) but I can't seem to get the engine to slow to a putt-
putt-putt.

I'm scared to touch any of the "certain death by torture" screws on the
carburator, but I'm convinced that one should be able to slow down the
engine.

I'd appreciate thoughts from all quarters.

Thanks,

K Woods
