HelloI would like to know what the best marine A/C unit is? I want a portable type I can plug into my decktop hatch.Anything special to consider?Tks

Cruisair

I use the Cruisair in the hatch unit on my Hunter 29.5 on the Chesapeake. It is only 5000 btu, so it takes some planning to use. When we return to the dock for the evening we start the a/c running while we clean up, go to dinner, or whatever. Once the sun goes down it starts to catch up, and by bed time it is comfortable for sleeping.

Crusiair Also

Bruce, We use the Cruisair model also and have no complaints. It won't keep up during the day but at night.....well it helps the Admiral sleep just fine. On ours I installed snaps in the hood and deck. It seems to keep the rain out much better that way. Also get the deflector which is an accessory. It helps redirect the cool air where its needed.Jeff"Festivity" 1996 H26
