On February 13, 2005 -- a little over two years ago -- we published Warren Milberg first forum discussion topic and quiz. This week, a little over two years and more than 84 topics later, Warren is contributing his final topic before stepping down as SailboatOwners.com Quizmaster. 84 topics is a mind stretching, mind boggling, break-out-in-cold-sweat accomplishment. That's a lot of pressure. But week in and week out Warren provided. From the dead of winter to the height of the season, he always came through. Please join me in thanking Warren for the many hours of entertainment and education he has provided for sailors worldwide. ph.

Excellent job

And outstanding forum discussions and one of the main reasons I'm on this site cause the education is the best.

I have wondered why Warren was making this effort

and always thought it laudable. Thank you Warren. I hope that someone will offer to fill the gap that you leave. Phil may be able to find your successor but I doubt that he will be able to find a replacement for you. Well done. Very Good Sir.

Thanks Warren

It was one of your topics that finally got me to register after many months of lurking around reading posts. Your contributions will be missed.

I'd like to thank Phil and all

the gang at SBO -- and mostly those of you who haunt this website -- for your many kind remarks regarding my efforts. I have to admit that it has been a challenge, at times, to come up with new material. It's been fun, too. But I'm always impressed with the many insigthful and informative posts these items have produced. While I have sailed for over 30 years, I keep learning about this sport we all love, and I've learned a lot from all of you. So, while I'll no longer be the SBO Quizmaster, I'll still be reading and posting on this site. We all owe a lot to Phil for establishing such a useful website that has managed to avoid some of the downsides other online sites seem to engender. See you all on the water!

I, too, will miss Warren Milberg

He has written some really interesting quizzes that were educational as well as informative. It must be hard to write stuff for all classes of sailors and boat types and he has done it well. Just as importantly, Warren has been a great resource on this site. His posts are always helpful and never critical. He always goes out of his way to try to add a researchable url to back up what he says rather than just give an off the wall opinion. I hope he keeps posting here as his stuff is really worth reading!

Hey Warren!

How about recommending Gary (Wyngarden) to fill your shoes. I heard he's pretty good too. ;)
