Hello all,

Does anyone know how to remove the teak coaming treads in the cockpit of a C30? I can't see where they are screwed in so I assume they are just glued/5200 or some other compound. Mine are in rough shape and I need to either redo or replace them.

Thanks

Brad

Try refinishing them without removing... They are glued in. Just tape the gel coat around the outside and use your palm sander... or hand sand.... clean and refinish with your choice of product.

They are just glued-in, when trying to pry one of them, it ended-up breaking it. With wood epoxy and more 5200, I put it together and back on the boat. The rest as Joe said... sand by hand and apply your .... I use Sikken Cetol, and that has really worked well for me, now close to 5 years on LIS (salt water) with an annual new layer.
