Hunter 22 Lake Eufaula
Just wanted to let you guys know, I have sold my 85' H22. The new owner is already a member on here and he is an young salty dawg.. meaning 50 used to be old to me, but now I'm 42 and 50 is still young... He is has been sailing all his life, and is very knowledgeable, hope he enjoys her as much as I did... I can't wait to find my next one, I hope it's a Hunter, so I can stay in this forum! I have thoroughly enjoyed the conversations, and I appreciated all the help! Everyone on here is so nice and helpful! I especially want to give a shout out to CDC, Hugh, Kermit, and inarathree, as you Gentlemen have been the ones that have been so inspiring. I'm sure I left someone out, but I hope you will not get upset... just a final note until I find my next girl! Boat that is!!! just in case the wife finds this... :D
Your Friend,
Chase

Chasemixon;

Please stay in touch with me. At one point, I was the top dealer for many years selling Hunter, Catalina, Beneteau, Macgregor and Compac and later Precision and so on. In addition, I brokered a lot of small sailboats which did not last long as I cleaned them and fixed em so I know more past the Hunter line. Never once was a survey done on a sailboat sold overseas to Europe, China, Tiawan, Australia, Thailand, Russia, South America. I think you get the picture. Stay in touch and I will be glad to help you sir anytime.

I am moving in two weeks to the mountain home in Virginia with 340% views of mountains and the beginning of the James River is in my back yard of course way down the hill. My new pay toy is a 38 hp Kabota tractor which will be delivered in several weeks.

Kermit use to question why I offer my experience and knowledge to include stating what I have done and acheivments. As I told Kermit, I want folks to know I commissioned, worked/repaired and sold sailboats for a living to show I have knowledge and experience, not for glory or whatever you want to call it. As to why I do it, I enjoy helping others as that is my nature and God was or has blessed me and I felt I need to repay him by helping others.

I feel pretty dang honored to be included in your list of folks who gave you inspiration. I joined the forum in 2010 with questions about the H23 before we bought it. Everyone has been helpful and friendly here. Trust me. I knew nothing about keelboats. I don't feel I know much about them even now. But I've tried to take the good advice here and use it wisely. Good luck with whatever lies ahead.

Kermit;

Give me a call you rascal. Thursday night, stepped out and saw a full array of stars without light interference on top of the big hill with a train chugging on the RR line behind me that family built. Doubt the river below can handle a sailboat except for one that can float in a bathtub. Sure pretty though.
