No Problem
I did the change from the charger that came with the boat (1990) to a 10 amp smart charger about 3 years ago. It was simiple and there were no issues that I am aware of. Instructions with the charger were straifgt forward. I mounted the new charger on the bulkhead under the chart table where it was accessible, out of view and close to the batteries so cables were short. I also changed the batteries to gel cells at the time however that required nothing more than setting the charger to gel rather than wet cells. I am only 20 minutes from you at Semiahmoo so would be happy to show the setup to you but will have to wait until early October as I am traveling from Saturday onward.
