I was looking at boats in the 25 range and thought I had settled in an Oday, but it was a lot rougher than the ad photos showed.
I'm looking at a Hunter 25 tomorrow that needs some work but has had a lot of work done to it. The coolest was the fitting of a diesel inboard, wheel steering and bolbus keel. The cabin interior needs to be finished, but if it looks good, it is coming home with me.
One thing missing is the forward hatch. The owner took it off and had no idea what happened to it. I was worried it was the odd shaped one Hunter is famous for, but I think it is a square hatch that if one is not available, can be made easily enough so I'm not overly worried about that.
Fingers crossed that I can get it!

My neighbor at my slip has a Cherubini 25. He just repaired his forward hatch cover and yes indeed it is an odd shape, well not square. It can be easily made out of wood and plexiglass. Picture attached. Once the frame has been made, it can be encapsulated in fiberglass and resin. He used a very strong clear RV silicone cement to adhere the glass to the frame.

Thanks much for the info. Tomorrow will tell the tale. Fingers crossed as the last boat I looked at was real bad.

I replaced the trapezoidal forward hatch on our h27 with a bomar hatch that was a perfect fit about 10 years ago.

The store on this site can probably find a replacement for you if the rest of the boat checks out. It's a great little cruising boat!

Well I just had to have it so it now resides in my yard. Lots of work to be done, but the hull is in wonderful shape so I can live with having to redo the cabin and some woodwork. I will need to re rig her, but I would most likely do that to any old boat I bought.
Photos coming on the Cherubini forum and YouTube channel will start soon
