I'm a novice and have located two through-hulls on my 1978 Hunter 33 (not Cherubini)... one close to the stern on the starboard side; another close to the sink drain under the port berth...are there more?
What purpose are the one's I've located? I know this is elementary for most, but someone said there is no such thing as a stupid question (just boat owners perhaps?)....

I have an 81 33, and I'm guessing the through hulls are in similar spots.
1. The one you found under the port settee is the sink drain
2. The stern starboard is probably the holding tank overboard drain
3. Under the starboard cockpit seat locker, under the removable floorboard you should find the head (toilet) water intake
4. In the quarter berth aft of the engine access panel is another panel, if you look on the starboard side of the prop shaft you should find the engine cooling water inlet

Hope this helps

Um... Charlie, as a 79 Cherubini 30 owner who lives next door to you, I am puzzled.
I've always heard that all 78, 79 Hunters are Cherubini's. I'd like to see yours at your convenience, if you'd PM me. Perhaps after 30+ years of ownership, I may be able to answer some of your questions.
Just click on my screen name and you can send me a message.
Regards,
G.

What makes you think that your boat is not a Cherubini design?

Now I guess I'm not sure

I thought I remembered looking it up when I was thinking about purchasing the boat--I thought there were two configurations, Cherubini and non...maybe something about keel depth, rigging... I'm going to have to go back and look at my notes...

But you are pretty much in agreement with the other post, i.e, all 1977 33's were Cherubini?

Mine also has one for the sink drain in the head (located under the sink cabinet) which is on the starboard side.

Charlie:

The H'33 was a very different configuration (more like a Euro design). I always thought that this was a boat that was ahead of it's time. Most of the Cherubini's had a more traditional layout.

Hunter also produced some "kit" type boats. I believe they were H'33's. They looked like a regular Hunter but they had sloped cabin rather than the traditional trunk cabin.
