74 Hunter 25 Toe Rails

What do you use them for? I am debating weather or not to continue attaching my blocks and sheets etc to these or to install jib and spin tracks. Seems to me that I have gone to all the trouble of rebedding toe rails and now by attaching blocks I will be exerting forces and breaking calking seal on an area that is prone to water leaks. What is the consensus with respect to toe rails for load stress. What is acceptable? Your advice would be appreciated.

Fairlead blocks, and fenders

Jib/genny fairleads, asymetrical spinnaker blocks on stern and tack at forepeak.We also hang our fenders on snapshackles.Remember that our side stays are tied in in about the same place. Lot's of other stuff stresses the hull/deck joint with mounts just inside the toerail.Did you see signs of stress pulling the toerail loose when you rebed it? No there was / are no signs of stress but I thought that I might be better off with tracks as opposed to the toe rail for reasons I indicated. My side stays are not attached to the toe rail but to Stainless Steel plate anchor. Are your sidestays attached to your toe rail?

Backing plates

not the toe rail. I forget what the material is - won't be able to look until I get back from this trip. I'm also planning to attach my vang/preventer there when running.I'm not worried about the stress. A reason to mount a track would be to sheet my 110 jib inside the stays in an effort to point higher. Instead, I use a barber hauler today. David
