Winch support
I don't know how much your 21 has been modified, but my 21 has the winch attached to the underside of a piece of 2X6. There are cleats that keeps it centered between the seats of the cockpit. While I am sure there are more elegant ways of doing this, it has functioned well for many years. At least on mine, the winch support doubles as a platform for getting into the cockpit. If you are short legged, getting stepping over the panel under the hatch with out the platform is dificult. It also save wear and tear on the fiberglass sill of the hatch.
