5411 exhaust leak

I have an exhaust leak on my Universal 5411 (circa 1981). It seems that all the years of raw heated seawater has corroded the mixing elbow prior to entering the aqua lift muffler. My old engine is fairly corroded and the bolts holding the mixing tee to the manifold look like they'll strip. What is the best procedure for getting them off? Also, When I went to my local Diesel repair facility enquiring about a replacement part, they mentioned that several configurations were used for mixing tees & they would have to see the part to get a replacement (hence my first question). Is that correct?

Mixing tee?

My mixing tee is located on the raw water intake line, next to the seacock. Do you mean the thermostat housing?? I replaced all of my exhaust 2 years ago. Not too hard, but like you the parts were all corroded and rusty. Use heat, penatrating fluid, and patience.

Actually mixing elbow(?)...

I was attempting to refer to the peice of pipe that mixes the raw water with the exhaust. Sorry for the confusion. I put some penetrating lubricant on the bolts last week, so maybe some heat & some luck this weekend will do the trick. Thanks for the help
