I removed the exterior cabin handrails from my 89 Hunter30 - figured it would be easier to work on them at home. I was planning on using 3M 5200 when going back on with them. Is this the correct sealer/adhesive to use for the handrails? Doug S/V Brenda Gail

Think of 5200 as permanent

Doug: You should think about 5200 as something that is used for permanent attachment. If this is used to reattach your hand rails they are not going to come off. There are some better adhesives but I would as a boat yard what they would use.

I'd use 3M 4200

the 4200 is used where disassembly may be required. The 5200 will make your handrails a permanent part of your boat. Mark Johnson
