Any one know the dimensions/spec of the anchor bulb for the 473? Mine has stopped working, but before going up the mast I want to make sure I have the correct replacement - the beneteau site does not give the dimensions (this is a USA built version) - thanks

We have an 04 Beneteau 331,a few days before we left NJ on our trip to the Florida Keys and Bahamas I tested our anchor light.It came on,all was well.The first time I went to use it in St. Michals,of course it did not work. I carry a back up that you can raise up to the spreader which worked well,it satisfied the fun police in Boot Key Harbor in the Keys.They were going around at night,boarding boats and giving tickets out to cruisers even if they had those solar garden type lights onboard. I replaced the whole fixture with a LED,which draws very little current.You may want to look in to a LED before you head up the mast.The owners package that came with our boat has replacement bulbs in it.
I just came back from my boat, and the spares kit I got with the new 323 boat include what I see as a 25-watt, with "DC-index" mount (Pretty much means the two ears on the sides are lower/higher then the other). TWO contacts on the bottom of the bulb. It looks as though an AquaSignal 40+ bulb at 25 watts would do. They also make a ten watt. The glass is long, about 2 inches.
The regular bulb draws 2 amps- the LED one-tenth amp. Might this be a good time to go with the 50-buck LED light?
