I have a 47.7 that i made into a cruiser, love the boat, fast, fun .. but i have some promblems with it ... 1) the engine yanmar 85 disel has smoke from first day on , have complain about it form the first day on ... finely after 3years , on the last day of the season . it just won't run over 2200rpm , boat speed slowed down to 4knots... called the local yanmar dealer . he can out check on it and had the rep from yanmar come out to look at it... found out that the wrong piston are in it..they told me that some of the yanmar's with my serial # had the wrong piston in them... so why does the owner.. have to go thru this .. shouldn't BENETEAU have know about this and taken care of it .. 2) from day one have had a water leak getting into the boat.. have spent a great deal of time looking for it... don't get me wrong about the boat it is a great sailor... but Beneteau should pay more attention .. this is my second BENETEAU ..would like to know if anyone else has the same promblem.....
