42s7 Fractional spin halyard rigging?

Looking for some advice on rigging the spin halyard. Should the line run thru the fairlead holes above the jib halyard? How to keep from chafing there? Have destroyed two halyards... Should I put a turning block there?

The typical Bene spin halyard exits the mast just above the headstay, and its not good.
Try to find a way to secure a block at the masthead to get the halyard away from the forestay.
You might be able to go from that original exit up to the new masthead block.

Is your rig a Z Spars rig (US Spars)? If so, call US Spars and talk to their rigger. I have found them to be very helpful.
