423 saloon dinette conversion to bed

I just took ownership of a 2007 two cabin 423. There is no filler cushion on board but I do see the low legs stowed in the center seat. I'd like to hear experiences by owners who convert the table to a bed and back. Am I missing more than just the filler when I have the short legs. Is it just muscle power to lift the table up and off the long legs? do I put in the center extension before converting? I read the table has to rest on the edge of the seats but I don't see any obvious ledges for the table. Any help on this is greatly appreciated. I will need to locate a filler too.

Some pictures of the table and seat bench would help us help you. In the past 15 years, it is possible that a well meaning owner may have altered the original boat design.
