42 passage Steering

I have a 2001 42 Passage CC and our steering cables are loose and need to tighten them up a bit , but can`t seem to be able to access the Steering Quadrant , any one know how to access it .... thanks

The last production model for the 42 Passage was 1997, so likely a different model than our 1991 42 Passage. Access to our quadrant is beneath the aft cabin berth mattress. There are two large lift out panels that gain access to the quadrant area, steering system including the aft cabin heat pump.

The quadrant is acessed through either of the two lift up aft storage areas as you step down the aft steps

Our fuel tank is also beneath the foot of the mattress, but the head section of the mattress covers the two panels. What have you found; any luck?
