Bermuda Rally
The 410 is an good coastal cruiser, and I know from experience that she will withstand much more than the most likely will want to endure. In a structured passage such as the rally, I am confidnet she will do fine. Typically in offhsore passage making vessels, I look for characteristics such as deep bilges, reduced fall distance (the linear distance you can fall before catching yourself), and protected rudders. (Please see my post regarding offshore vessel specs). The relatively flat bottom and fin keel of the 410 tend to make her somewhat less comfortable on the crew than a heavier modified fin or full keel vessel in a seaway. You might also want to make sure you can effectively heave-to and carry enough warps / sea anchors to ride out any unpleasent weather. I would recommend that you keep an eye on your bulkheads, chainplates and bilges if you run into moderate to heavy weather. Have a great trip and let me know how you do.dave
