Has anyone replaced the coil spring mattress on the 410? I was at the boat show yesterday and it looked like it was going to cost me a lot over 2000 to replace it???? Does anyone know who made them originally? My boat is A 1998 2 cabin version.

Thanks!

I have been thinking of adding a 2'' memory foam topper for my 2007 H-36
for more comfort and if anyone has done this please let us know what you did.
I don't need to replace mine and was going to start a new topic on adding a topping for improved comfort, mine is just foam queen size.

I added a 2" memory foam topper to mine and it made a difference. (I got a Queen that is too small and if you want it to fit you need a califonia King and cut it to shape.)

But I've been looking at replacing the whole thing and it looks that if you shop around you can get a memory foam type of mattress for around $1000 (I think I last looked at Portland Mattress (maine) because they were close to me)

BTW - I bet if you send a message to Hunter they can tell you where they got the original mattress and you could then get a price from them)

Don, do you know if that aft stateroom is a king? Or is it an odd size? I just can't remember... Sad isn't it?

Thanks!

Mine is an odd size. Longer than a Queen and has an angle at the head.

I got a foam mattress at ikea and cut it to shape. Good quality and not expensive. Added a 2 inch memory topper and is very comfortable.

Assuming it is a "queen" you can cut off the irregular ends that match the curve of the hull and they can be glued on to the new mattress.

Before you spend a bunch of money on memory foam check out Latex. Much better product and they last for 20+ years. No need to worry about mold either.

Bought memory foam mattress pads for STARGAZER. Queen for the aft and full for the forward. I had to cut the forward a LOT to get it to fit - but now both births are very comfortable for NOt a lot of money! Capt Bill on STARGAZER
