The specs on the size of the water tank for this model is 40 gallons. On a weekind sail, we washed the dishes, using the water sparingly, took 2 showers, also sparingly, ans some incidental use. We ran out of water sunday morning. Sparingly equals turned water off when not needed during the aforementioned uses. Any thoughts on this?

Same with my 29.5..(model 94-95)

I am almost sure that the water tank has significantly less volume than 40 gallons, but has yet to check it 'mathematically". Has anyone had same problem? Could it be that some 29.5 were fitted by mistake with smaller than specified watertanks ?

Check the water system fittings

On my '95 29.5, the water tank wasn't foamed/strapped and broke loose in moderate seas (ever wonder why the bilge pump keeps cycling for no apparent reason?). Check to see that it's foamed/strapped in its compartment under the v-berth. If you motor much, vibration can loosen the fittings. I would check the fitting on the water tank first and then check all fittings in the water system including those on the pressure water pump and water heater. Don't forget to check faucet fittings. You could use food coloring or the old talcum powder trick (sprinkle it and then look for the water tracks) I found a couple loose fittings and now have plenty of water. Good Luck
