Any one know how many 40.5 where produced from 1990 to 1998. I think I have one of the last boat off the assembly line.

...since the production model years ended in 1997. A friend sold one in Florida recently that was also titled as a 1998. Same one?

My dealer told me that my 40.5 was the last one out of the factory. It has a serial number of 749 and was manufactured in March 1997 and declared to be a 1997 model.
In light of your serial number, I have to believe that your vessel was built after mine, so my dealer must have been incorrect. I am confused with the 1998 year designation as the 410 was the replacement for the 40.5 and it started production in 1998. But yours is not the first instance of a 1998 40.5 that I have heard about.
The only explanation that I can see is that Hunter designated one or more 40.5's as a 1998 model although they were actually built in 1997. However exactly why Hunter claimed that the 40.5 production ran from 1990 to 1997 instead of 1998 is a mystery.

Overlap?
It isn't intuitive, but it makes me wonder if there was some overlap in view of my friend telling me 'he had a choice'? Of course, they had to tool a prototype of the 410 but once ready for prime time, you would think all the production would convert. Maybe some residual demand? Too bad we can't ask Jim B.
My 40.5 is 40513h293. I believe it is sn 13. Built Aug 92 model year 93
so if yours is the last and it is sn 40751. Probably only 250 were built. The 40.5 model years were 92 to 97

Marco my vin# hun40751D798 if your boat is a 93 at #13 maybe only 10 or so boats where built a year with a total of 50+ boats? Who knows Hunter can't give me any answers.
My Hull is HUN40557C393 and using the instruction below mine reads HUN ( Hunter) 40557 ( 40.5 sn #57) C3 (March) 93 (1993)

749 - The number of the hull built since the beginning of production
