3YM30 Remove core from heat exchanger

Has any one removed the raw water core from heat exchanger to soak in part acid and water for cleaning.

To the best of my knowledge the core is not removable. Just soak the heat exchanger in cleaning solution and use long and thin brush to clean the interiors.

I had a problem with one bolt on front cap but got back cap off so don’t know which way the core slides out.
I will just try flushing the core with barnacle buster for now and will be taking my boat to boat yard for sanding and hull paint and change some thru hull values so don’t want taking motor apart for now
