What do you guys use for anchor chain to keep it from rusting?

There are probably more opinions on wax than than hard drive space on this server, but what the heck. I've used the 3M polymer "Finesse" for years and then coated it with their wax, which they claim has Scotchguard in it and is a uv protectant. Waxed areas of the boat seem much more resistant to bird poop and stuff sticking to it and water stains are just not there.
I put a coat of Finesse on the new truck this spring, followed by a couple of coats of the wax, and it's holding up beautifully.
The anchor locker is a perfect place to use this. It'll help the gel resist stains and crap sticking to it.

I have seen rubber matting with holes in it used in the anchor lockers to help prevent chain from scratching the walls.

Regular use. Plus hose it off after use.
