The 3GMF Originally did not have a temperature sender, only an alarm switch. The part number for the switch in the old book is 127610-91350. It switches on at 95C (203F) and off at 88C (190F) ..
First make sure the sender is a Yanmar part. My 466 with the 4jh3te has a sender made by seaward products who also made the gauge panel at the helm. The sender must match the gauge otherwise it will not work. Call Hunter to find out who made the panel first. Mine did not match any of those depicted in the engine manual which was why I called and that was how I found out about mine. In the end, it was my gauge and not my switch. After describing all of my findings to seaward products they knew right away it was the gauge and sent me the part (cheap too).
