I was wondering if it would be possible to use on of the new 3D printers to print those expensive portlight screens? Any ideas?

There are two issues with that idea, first that most of the printers out there are not capable of doing something with such a large surface area, they are something like 5x5" max, and the second is that the plastic feedstock is not UV stable.
The current flavor is great for making small, non load bearing, poorly finished parts, or, if one had a large number of cycles, a number of sub-assemblies could be concocted. For making mold plugs, there might be some advantage, but all that said, by the time you're done, you've spend your entire summer in the garage and have a few dollar store trinkets to show for it.
