Best place to repair or replace deck hatches, size 44

I broke a hatch this summer.... called defender and got a replacement in a couple of days.

Thanks, I did check, just not sure if I have a low or medium profile hatch

Specs say low profile is 1 in height and medium is 1 1/4 in. Mine is 1 1/4 off deck but 1 inch height alone. I will contac Beneteau dealer Monday to see which way to measure

Beneteau should be able to help you out, absolutely. Also the manufacturer of the hatch, of which there are many including Bowmar, Lewmar as a couple of the biggies, can tell you all the specifications if you give them the serial number. An email to either will get you this information in pretty quick order. This info may come in handy if you would like to get a local business to make them up for you.

Pretty sure they’re low profile.... mine are. Call lewmar in Connecticut. Very helpful.

They are lewmar hatches. What is broken, what needs to be repaired? Beneteau’s are not Buicks, you don’t buy hatches from the dealer.

Might be able to get that information from the Beneteau parts website. I was able to obtain the lewmar part number for one of my hatches from the website. BTW, mine were low profile. After verifying the manufacturer, size, profile and part number, you might try talking to the folks at "Hatch Masters" for repair vs replacement options. They have a vast amount of experience.

The owners manual ID’s the type of hatch (likely Lewmar Ocean series low-profile). However parts are determined by the serial number etched into every Lewmar hatch. Unless the hatch frame is damaged repair is less expensive. They are very rebuildable.
