I own a Catalina 387 hull #51 with baby stay. I noticed Friday (11-10-2006) that the plate holding the rod rigging for the baby stay was pulling out of the bulkhead on the floor line. The plate is pulling up and rotating, damaging the teak wood and who knows what else in the bulkhead. The deck has pulled up slightly up as well rising up on the bulkhead. Anybody seen this type of damage on their 387s before? I actually have backing plates on both sides of the bulkhead. That is why the teak is being damaged/pulled apart on BOTH sides. Has anyone make Catalina aware of the issue?
