380 Autopilot

I have a Hunter 380, 2000. Are there any thoughts regarding adding a autopilot ? Brand etc?

I had a 1999 Hunter 380 and added a Raymarine 6000+ autopilot head but used a motor from PYI (purveyors of the Max prop ). If you take the "table" off of your steering station and then pull out the "ice box" underneath you have access to the steering mechanism. You'll note that the end of the steering shaft has a fitting for a chain. The motor sat below and there was a chain between the motor and the shaft. The motor was geared down so it would turn the wheel no matter what.

The Raymarine Head actuates the motor. Call PYI for advice. Really nice people. Never head a problem in nine years. Didn't use much power either. I would do it again with that boat.
