With my original shaft snapped next to the cutlass bearing i am having a new shaft manufactured at a local engineering shop and installing a folding prop with new cutlass bearing and i was wanting to install a dripless shaft seal while i have the yacht on the hard. My original seal has always had a slow leak despite all my efforts to correct the problem.
Looking at the seals that are available i need advise on what size to purchase. The shaft is 1", but what outer diameter and what length should i purchase?
If you have installed one please chime in.
Thanks in advance, Brian

well it seems i need more help, on the cutlass bearing - anyone know outer diameter and length?
Being 4000 miles away from the yacht is starting to get old.
Thanks
