376 Holding Tank Help

Prior to departure, we plan to put in a better toilet and replace all the sanitation lines. To really do it right, I'd love to pull the holding tank and replace it with a new one. That would completely take care of any potential source of potty smell onboard. But has anyone ever pulled the holding tank on a 376? On our old 336, you'd just take out the panel aft of the rear berth, and both the holding and fuel tanks were easily accessible. On our 376, however, it looks like you pretty much have to take the entire aft cabin apart to get to the tanks. Any suggestions or advice?

I replaced the hoses on our 1997 376 .it was a big job. But this fixed my smell issue. I think the aft shelf and a lot has to come apart to remove tank

there shouldn't be any reason what so ever to replace a poly tank to solve an odor problem unless it had a hole in it

Do you happen to remember how much hose you needed?

Don is wright, poly tanks are rarely the cause of odors. I would check for a clogged vent line first, that's usually the cause of onboard smells. If its clear and has a filter on it, you may have a buildup in the tank. Try adding a couple tablespoons of dish washing liquid to your tank along with some ice chopped just small enough to fit into the tank(as much as will fill the tank about 25%), go sailing and practice your points of sail,. When you return pump out all the loose crud and add sanitizer. You should have a really fresh tank...
