376 anchor windlass

Does anyone know of someone who can fabricate a replacement stainless base for the Simpson Lawrence windlass? The plastic just doesn't hold up to anchor chain binds.
If not is there a straight away replacement?

I'm sure Garhauer could, but I would check with local machine shops, of which there are many in SD.

Thanks for the info. The company in England says they have some parts...We will see. The windlass seems to work just fine...I can't believe the base is plastic. I will find someone to make me one in stainless sooner or later. It would be interesting to know how many of these are out there. As with most things....saving a few bucks on something that requires a hole in the boat is a bad move.....just saying.
