not hard to make
They really aren't hard to make. All it takes is a hacksaw, drill and grinder to round the ends. A little buffing if you want them pretty.You can go to 3/8" with no other change. The originals had a plug welded into the hole to made it 3/8" thick anyway.There have been many that had cracks at the upper bolt hole, due to the side stress on them, so the original size wasn't strong enough anyway.I had the first two made at a machine shop, as I was traveling at the time and didn't have enough tools with me. Turnkey cost was $80 for the two. Materials included. Just take your sample, they can duplicate it even if they don't know what a chainplat is.
